Frankfurt, Germany, is set to become the epicenter of tennis as the revolutionary Ultimate Tennis Showdown (UTS) League enters its second stage for the 2023 season. Taking place from September 15th to 17th, this event boasts top players like Casper Ruud, Andrey Rublev, AND Gaël Monfils, promising to redefine the way tennis is played and experienced.
UTS, a brainchild of star coach Patrick Mouratoglou, is designed to captivate and inspire a younger audience by infusing tennis with an unparalleled level of fun and entertainment. With a fresh and innovative format, the UTS League aims to inject a new level of excitement into the sport. Since the age of digitalization has completely changed human consumer behavior over the past 15 years, Mouratoglou thinks it is only logical to tailor tennis to his fans.
The lineup of UTS Frankfurt features internationally renowned players like Casper Ruud, Andrey Rublev, and Gael Monfils. When selecting players, UTS pays attention to internationality, but above all to the characters of the players with whom the fans who speak their language can identify. „We are delighted to welcome some of the most authentic and entertaining world class players in Frankfurt. The ones that fill up the tennis stadiums all over the world,“ says Mouratoglou, the former coach of Stars like Stefanos Tsitsipas or Holger Rune.
“UTS is a revolutionary concept that creates a thrilling and entertaining atmosphere to attract especially the younger audience. Tennis in Frankfurt has a long tradition. So we are happy to keep writing history here at our European UTS event.”

What sets UTS apart is its innovative approach to the game. The game is played according to new, innovative rules in order to increase the drama, intensity and entertainment on the court. Matches are played in quarters, each lasting four times eight minutes, creating a fast-paced and intense experience. The rules add an element of unpredictability, with tie-break style quarters and sudden-death decisions when players secure two sets each. The event is accompanied by a DJ and music, breaking away from the traditional “Quiet Please” atmosphere. Fans can eavesdrop on player-coach agreements over loudspeakers, and during breaks, the pros engage in interviews.
The action-packed schedule features six matches on both Friday and Saturday, culminating in the semifinals and final showdown on Sunday. The competition format ensures that all ticket holders can see all eight players in action on September 15th and 16th. Day tickets are available starting from 29 EUR at www.uts.live, ensuring that tennis enthusiasts of all ages can be a part of this groundbreaking experience in Frankfurt.
